(Picking up this earlier discussion—http://www.zengobi.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=766—I start a new thread so as not to confuse the two issues.)
While the Notes pane does make it possible to have a note on a Mind Map (or List) cell and keep the note hidden from view, it's not ideal for me, anyway. (Even though it's a big improvement on the kludges I was using!)
What I'd love to see is a notes pane that could be centered in the screen and made larger. Best, I think, would be a quick keyboard shortcut (or double-clicking on the note icon?) to open this pane.
It's true that inserting a text document would achieve a lot of this, but then on export the various things are no longer in one place. The Notes pane for me is perfect in that the notes remain attached to the cell. So what I'm looking for is a more pleasant writing 'environment' for these notes. As I say, the functionality of the current set up is fine—I just think it would be easier to use if it worked along lines somehow similar to what I suggest here.
I realize that many people use Curio for many things, that you have many requests, and that my needs may well be on the fringe. But if others find this a good idea, perhaps you could consider it. (Needless to say I have no idea how difficult it would be to do this, so it's easy for me to suggest )
