Would be great if the brushes worked on figures, not just on the canvas. I am working on a paper and am bringing in bits of pdfs or screen shots from the web with text. Would like to be able to highlight bits of the text for easy future reference. I can paint over the words, but if I move teh figure the paint stays on the canvas, not on the figure.
thanks |

| If you are mainly highlighting text then I'd recommend using the text inspector instead. Just select some text with the normal text tool then give in a background colors with the text inspector. The background color will stay with the characters as you add or remove text from the figure. |

hmm, I just tried that. The problem is that the what I have imported is a snapshot of the text, and so the text tool doesn't work on that. Is there a way to easily import part of a pdf?, or just a small part of a web-page?
Thanks |

You can select a region of text on the PDF or webpage then paste directly into Curio and you should get a text figure.
Alternatively you can create a text figure first, then double-click to edit it, then paste into the edited text figure. |
