I keep coming back to this forum and am surprised and disappointed to see that the last posts are ones that I myself wrote days ago. What can we users do to help Zengobi promote this amazing product? I've blogged about it (joelorr.tumblr.com) and spoken about it to friends.

Surely there are at least a few hundred trial users who ought to be posting here. Where are they?

Curious,
Joel

Word of mouth marketing is indeed very tough. We certainly encourage our customers and trialers to post here on the boards to talk about what you like and don't like about Curio.

Or, like Joel, posting on your own blogs will help spread the word even further.

Given the emails we've received, we know we have a huge number of fans out there that live and breathe within Curio. So, where there is love, our audience will continue to grow.

Thanks, everyone.

I am discovering Curio, thanks to being directed to it by Apple. I have explored this website and even followed the link to a blog on Mind Mapping. I really feel like I've finally met people who think like I do! Anyway, I've downloaded the free trial of Curio and I am struggling a bit with figuring it out. Is a tutorial of features and functionality available somewhere?

Hi Kathleen and welcome to Curio!

In Curio's Help menu, you will find two options which might be helpful:

Open Sample Gallery - opens a sample Curio project that guides you through some of the basics then shows you ways in which a variety of people might choose to use Curio.

Curio User Manual - opens the user guide in which there's a section called "Getting Started" that also guides you through some of the basics.

And, of course, if you have any questions, you can always contact us at support@zengobi.com.

Thank you, Greg, for your helpful reply. Since my post I've spent more time playing around with the software. I think part of my challenge is that I am new to using a Mac and still grieving the loss of my right click, but I know its for the better that I let go. Anyway, after spending some more time with Curio I have taught myself some, but I can see on the shelf that there features on the shelf that I cannot figure out. I'll keep at it. Do you know if there is more "help" available in the purchased version versus the free trial?
Have a great week!

Umm... how old is your Mac? Most Macs ship with a Mighty Mouse which does indeed have a right click, it just doesn't look like it. I'm not sure about MacBooks, though, if you own a MacBook.
For me, the hardest adjustment is still Command vs. Control modifier keys. I still work with a PC so that is particularily difficult since it's muscle memory.

Well my Mac book is brand new as a Christmas gift from my family who insisted that I catch up to them in technology; then the kids promptly went back to college and left me to figure it out on my own. I do have a Mighty Mouse still in the box, time to get it out and use it! I've discovered the Curio User Manual since my last post so having given it a cursory look I think that most of my questions will probably be answered there. I am still working in a trial downloaded 15 day version and I plan to give it a work out in the next few days in order to make a purchase-or-not decision.

Don't forget, you can always request an extended 60-day trial license key if you need more time to make your decision.

Curio is, in my opinion at least, one of the single best applications for the Mac.

I've blogged about it myself, a number of times, on MindfulInk but it is definitely one of those pieces of software most people just don't seem to know about.

As to what to do about it... I really don't have a clue besides what is being done. The software keeps improving, and I really enjoy using it for just about everything (though it is not without its warts, what isn't?).

I'm glad they have this forum and the new file areas, and am certainly surprised it hasn't been more active myself - Curio is such a great example of software that a strong community could really enhance.
