A question for compulsive Terminal tweakers...
Is there a way to modify QuickLook so that the pop-up preview will stay on screen until you actively close it with the window X? There's quite a few times when I'd like to keep something open as a reference for a few minutes, but don't need the full power of whatever program opens it. This is especially true of web archives that I grab and store in Curio--there are sometimes when I'd like to "annotate" them on an idea space, and readjusting all of my windows and Spaces so that Curio and Safari are both sitting side by side is more hassle than I'd care to have.
While I'd welcome this ability for the entire system, if there's a way to bring that sort of functionality to the Quick Look previews that Curio uses, that'd also be awesome. |

| Oddly, the behavior you describe is exactly how quicklook behaves for me when launched from within curio. I'm not exactly sure how it was turned on. |

| jshadow007 - are you running 10.5 or 10.6? In 10.6 it works the way you're requesting. I can't remember how it displays in 10.5 (but I can check if necessary). |

I'm running the latest update of 10.6 and....I...well now I just look sort of silly. I could've sworn it wasn't doing that.
This is working just how I want it to.
Move along, move along, nothing to see here! |

Now that my face is a bit less red....
I do on occasion, find the desire to switch apps, but still have the quicklook pane stay open. Is there a way to do THAT? |

| Nope, not as far as I know. The OS is handling that one so perhaps there is a hidden Terminal tricky but I'm not sure of any. |
