Could not find if anybody asked this question: Can I add PDFs (whole files and individual pages) as nodes in mind maps?

Can nodes be created from any other types of objects / files (file icons)?

Also, can parent-child links in mind maps be "types"? in a sense of having a label attached to them? Same question about lines w. arrows.

thanks
- Jacek

You can drag a PDF file into a mind map and it will be inserted as an image figure. You can use the asset inspector to change the page number displayed.

Any type of file can be dragged to a mind map node to insert that file as a child of the node. In other words, drag in a mail message or a Word doc.

We don't support text on lines currently.

Thanks!

When I drag PDFs to a mind map, they are always added as a child of a note onto which I drag them. I guess that the expected behavior. But I cannot drag PDF-nodes around like one can drag "regular" nodes. Is it expected?

Also, in the Inspector Extras (where PDF file info is shown), I do not see any way to change the page number.

thanks
Jacek

While you can manually position the main branch nodes (directly under the central topic), Curio positions all child nodes automatically.

The "PDF Page" setting is in the Asset Figure inspector under the Display tab.
