I would like to have an option to include a slider that would allow one to adjust the % completion on a task. For example, for a simple item list, my illustration using [%] to indicate a slider and [x] to indicate a checkbox might be as ...
[x] Main Goal
- [x] First Objective
- [x] Second Objective
-- [%] task 2.1 --> this happens over a long time
-- [x] task 2.2 --> this is a one-shot event
To simplify, the slider could be defined only to propagate UP a chain but never down it. For example, this set up would be a violation due to the sub-tasks in the second objective ...
[x] Main Goal
- [x] First Objective
- [%] Second Objective
-- [x] task 2.1 --> this happens over a long time
-- [x] task 2.2 --> this is a one-shot event
I can think of some useful things that could be done with this, especially when the slider could be part of the outer stages of a mind-map. In particular, I was fantasizing on building a companion mind-map example to the multiple-ring structure that is presented in the GoalScape app ... http://www.goalscape.com/
While I am on it, it would actually be cool if we could have a variable {%percentcomplete} and/or {%relativecomplete} that would directly display the percentage (without the % sign please!) or fraction complete of a given object directly on the object (rather than having to find it in the project shelf).
