Unless I am missing something, there is currently no way to pinch to zoom in or out using a multi touch trackpad for Mac.

I would love to see this in a future update.

Love the product so far!

If gestures are enabled in Curio's preferences then pinching grows/shrinks the selected figure. We've had some requests to do the idea space instead so it's something we're definitely considering.

Yes, please, please, please. Just started my trial of Curio, and think it may be just what I'm looking for. But using ink is critical for me for detailed sketches and equations and this really really needs zoom in and out while inking - very clumsy with the keyboard, very natural with multitouch, especially with a pen & touch tablet (it's so clunky as is that for the moment I have a horrible solution using BetterTouchTool to map gestures to the zoom keys, but it's clumsy as it requires multiple gestures. Any better workaround ideas gratefully received.)

I don't see the downside - it seems entirely natural and Lion/iOS-like. It's crucial for serious inking IMO, but surely would help navigate large idea spaces in a way that will become increasingly expected by OS X users. It doesn't need to be instead of figure resizing (although I would take that in a heartbeat if I had to choose). Zoom the space if nothing is selected, otherwise behave as now, and make it an option if necessary.

Incidentally, what sold Curio to me was John Harrold's video; very close to my workflow - even using a lot of the same apps. Thanks John, you should get commission!

Consistency across the UI is a huge reason why many of us use Macs. Whatever you do in terms of gestures please make it as similar to the Mac OSX style as possible. And maybe there should be a preference for old-school and new-school so users have a choice. Pinch to zoom should operate similar to other Mac apps and to Safari. Maybe even 2-finger scrolling from one Idea Space to another? True full screen mode. How about 2-finger tap to zoom in and then again to zoom back out like Safari's smart zoom which old folks with bad eyes like me find very useful on our MacBook Airs. Wink
