Zengobi Releases Curio 1.2

Amazing HTML Export and Inner-Project Hyperlinks!

RALEIGH, NC — May 12, 2004 — Zengobi, Inc. announced today a new 1.2 release of Curio with dozens of new features and fixes.

Zengobi Curio is an innovative new product for Mac OS X that helps creative thinkers and design professionals generate, communicate, and organize their best ideas. Curio's freeform sketchbook environment allows you to collect images, bookmarks, documents, movies, and text clippings; take notes; and sketch with pressure-sensitive pens. It includes an integrated dossier feature with creative brief support that will help you communicate more effectively with your clients, and a feature called Sleuth to make scouring the web for inspiration easier. Advanced searching, archiving, and a built-in asset manager further enhance the Curio experience. Curio promotes and encourages the freedom to be creative.

One of the most requested features is the ability to export Curio projects in various formats. You can now export all or selected idea spaces either as a PDF document, a series of TIFF, PNG, or JPG images, or an HTML project. The exported HTML project is compatible with Safari on the Mac and IE on Windows, and looks just like the real Curio with the Organizer pane and idea space thumbnails on the left, and the currently selected idea space displayed on the right. In addition, in the HTML export the displayed assets are also exported and the idea space is "live" meaning the user can click on documents, movies, songs and the associated document is displayed or downloaded.

This version also introduces another frequently requested feature: inner-project hyperlinking called jump markers. When double-clicked these jump markers will transport the user to a specified figure even if on another idea space. These target figures can be moved anywhere in the project and the jump marker will track them down.

Other nifty new features include Back & Forward history and native Ink Services support for instant handwriting recognition.
