Say that again?

I just wanted to reiterate what George said below. Prices are most likely going up when Curio 4 hits the streets. If you buy a new license or even an upgrade license key between now and Curio 4's release, you will automatically receive a free upgrade.
So if you have Curio 3 Home and are thinking about upgrading to Curio Pro, now would be a good time to do that.
Or if you're impressed enough by Curio 3, but have been waiting for Curio 4's release before you buy, wait no more. We're really trying to give you the best deal possible. Buy now and save yourself some cash.

How does a lad with v. 3 Pro take advantage of current upgrade pricing? or will the jump to 4 stay at $49?

Well, we'll try to spare you the questions, and look forward to details and screenshots as we go.
Browser refresh... nothin'.

Will Curio 4 run on 10.3.9 or only on 10.4.x?

Curio 4 will require 10.4 or greater. Sorry, no more Panther support.
We haven't finalized our upgrade pricing but I suspect there will be a small increase. Our upgrade pricing is always roughly 50% off the full commercial retail price of the product. It's hopefully a nominal charge for a ton of really cool features. :-)

The pricing makes perfect sense, George. However, there is currently no way to upgrade from 3 to 4 for the current Pro upgrade (from 2 to 3) price of $49 and thus save a buck-fifty. :-)

Yes, that is correct. There's no way for you to pre-upgrade. You'll have to wait for Curio 4's release if you presently own Curio Pro 3. :-)

I have a Curio 2 Pro license. I didn't have a reason to upgrade to Curio 3, but I think I will want to upgrade to Curio 4. How will the pricing of this be affected?
Thanks.

If you upgrade now to Curio 3 Pro then you'll get a free upgrade to Curio 4 Pro when it's released. Alternatively, you can wait until Curio 4 Pro is released and then purchase an upgrade but the price might be a tad bit higher.

Thanks for the heads-up. I went ahead and upgraded to Pro. Looking forward to 4.

It's probably too late to make it into this release, but here are a few feature requests from a fairly active user:
1) A "Print to Curio" driver so we can embed a document or receipt in PDF format. The print setup page could let us pick the Curio file and add it in as a new page or even let us pick the page.
2) Same idea, but with a 'web archive.' There are a number of times that I've come across a web-page with good references. I want to 'capture' the whole page, links and all, for future reference.
Both these, btw, I currently do in Yojimbo. But it's practically impossible to take things out of there and put them in Curio alongside my other project material.
3) Password encryption. At file and (ideally) page level. That way, I can keep proprietary information in my workbook.
Maybe Curio already does these and I just haven't figured out how to do it (I just upgraded to Pro and am still trying to figure out all the different features). But none of them seem too far off from what you guys already do.
Thanks.

Hey guus, any update on a release date? It's been a few weeks since the last post on the blog!

It's still a few weeks away. We want to make sure it's a polished release so we're ironing out issues and getting the website and documentation finished.
