Cherry picking...

This is just a shout out to our new friends over at CherryForums.com. They've gone bonkers over Curio and we're learning a lot about the writing process and how Curio can fit into that process just by reading their comments. For some cool ideas, you should check it out!

You guys considered posting curio templates, or perhaps some forums of your own? A great way to build up a community (and enthusiastic consumers who will spread the word of your product as well as expand its options) is to create such a space on your website.
You guys have an incredible product - but more people need to know about it, and more people need to know just how robust it is. If you make future versions of Curio even more... customizable (savable templates, idea spaces, etc) this will help things even further. If you provide areas for a community to create their own content - they WILL create their own content.
Just some ideas, I love Curio - I'd really like to see it get all the love it deserves and I think you guys can do it.

We are most definitely considering a forum. We have talked about it for ages and agree it would be an awesome place for people to exchange ideas.

Bonkers is putting it mildly! I'm not suprised they are finding it very useful. I use it every day, and it's become one of the most important tools I use for work.
I would like to see more about what's coming with 4.0! Any estimate time for release? Cost? Upgrade cost? Need more info!
Hope you guys are putting in a Calendar, or some kind of schedule feature.

Curio 4 is still a few months away. It's jam-packed with lots of features that I'm sure you'll love. We're still finalizing new and upgrade pricing. We'll announce more details about its feature set in the future.

Well, we Cherries are just bonkers, period, but Curio has multiplied the bonk.
We started out with hard-copy collages as a brainstorming tool--I think that was Barbara Samuel's idea, way back when. Jennifer Crusie took it and ran with it, even using it as a marketing tool (keep in mind she's been with her agent and publisher forever--don't try this if you're a newbie). But I never got into it, because it's not like I have a lot of space in my house or my desk for that kind of thing. But after I got the word from Heidi Cullinan and Jenny--wow! Doing collages really has helped me figure out what is going wrong with the story I'm revising. And that's just the idea space. Haven't even started on the other good stuff in Curio. I'm looking forward to that.
I think what making collages in the idea space is doing is tapping into the...hmm...archetypal, primal, imaging part of the creative process. It has to be there before some solid writing gets done, or else it's like trying to pull teeth. Out of a chicken. Which could get nasty.
Oh, and I found it's also good for planning out my vegetable garden. MUCH better than graph paper. Really fantastic, multi-purpose program. Thanks!
